Module 2

Through Activity 1 & 2 and the Spatial Workshops, I was able to gain a solid understanding of not only the Bivariate Map, but the other deliverables as well. Unfortunately I was unable to do the Laser Cutting Workshops, but through the tutorials and by looking at my classmates deliverables, I was able to see their experience and experimentation.

Final Project 2 Design - Bivariate Map

GTA Population Density vs Housing Prices 2021-2022 [Fullscreen, Legends Below]
For this map I used a combination of a Choropleth Map and 3D Extrusion. The principle of colour was used in the base of the design with a choropleth map which showed the population density of select cities and towns in the GTA; as the population count increased, the colour of the specific area darkened. And the principle of proportion/size was used in the second variable of the map; the average housing prices.
